Choose the area before the house
Jávea isn't one place. Picking the right area matters more than picking the right photo. Here is our honest summary.
The Arenal. A sandy beach with shallow water, a seafront promenade full of restaurants and a family feel. Good with children, for long beach days and for dinner out without the car. Very busy in July and August.
The Port. Jávea's fishing side: a seafront walk, La Grava pebble beach, the fish market and seafood terraces. Good for couples, for people who come to eat well and for anyone who likes to get around on foot.
Cala Blanca, Toscamar and Portichol. Rocky coastline and clear-water coves. The Jávea you see in photos. For snorkelling, quiet swims and people who don't miss the sand.
The old town. Stone streets, the fortress church of San Bartolomé, long-standing shops and the market. A good base if you want a real town and don't mind driving to the beach.
The Montañar and the slopes of the Montgó. Quiet, residential Jávea, with sea or mountain views. For long stays, groups and switching off.

Where to stay, depending on your trip
- As a couple: New Port Jávea, in the Port, or La Ventana Azul, with views over the Segundo Montañar.
- With family: Arenal Breeze, on the Arenal seafront, or Toscamar Relax, with pools and tennis courts.
- As a large group: Villa Sueño, for 14, or Villa Preciosa, in Portichol.
- To be in the heart of town: La Rustiqueta, in the old town.

When to come to Jávea
Spring. Long days, open terraces and the Montgó without the heat. The sea is swimmable by late May.
Summer. Everything is open and busy. The best houses book up months ahead.
Autumn. The sea is still warm in September, the villages have their fiestas and prices come down.
Winter. Jávea doesn't close. Sunny days, a town that belongs to its residents, and houses available by the month.

Which area of Jávea is best with children?
The Arenal: a sandy beach with shallow water, a pedestrian promenade and restaurants within walking distance. If you'd rather have more space and a pool, Toscamar and Cala Blanca are a few minutes' drive away.
Do I need a car in Jávea?
It depends on the area. In the Arenal, the Port and the old town you can walk everywhere. To move between areas or reach the coves, a car helps a lot. We'll tell you house by house.
Is it cheaper to book directly with you?
Yes. On the platforms you pay for the house plus their fee. On our website you pay the price of the house and talk to us from the first message.
How far are the airports?
Alicante airport is just over an hour away by motorway. Valencia is roughly an hour and a half.
Do you take long stays?
Yes. Outside July and August we have houses for stays of several weeks, and seasonal rentals from one month.
